What does it cost? Do you accept insurance?

Sessions are $130 and are 60 minutes.

Stable Ground Counseling accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield and will be happy to call to find out your copay. Several insurance companies will reimburse a portion of your session fee and we are happy to provide you with the paperwork needed to submit for reimbursement.

Payment can be made in cash or invoiced through the HIPAA compliant payment software Ivy Pay, which allows for a credit card to be charged.

Will I ride a horse?

All sessions are unmounted, meaning we work on the ground with the horses. You do not need to have any horse experience to participate in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. We suggest wearing leather boots and clothes that can get dirty to all equine assisted sessions.

Will we always work with horses?

Our unique setting allows us to work with horses, in nature and/or in a traditional office setting. Many clients find that they enjoy a mixture of traditional sessions with outdoor horse/nature sessions. We can also work with art supplies, gardening, and or play therapy materials. Creativity and flexibility are strong values at Stable Ground!
